Performance Improvement & Innovation Intern

Position Summary

The DCPP Innovation team is tasked with implementing new technology and processes within current DCPP business, asset, and work management processes. The summer intern position will support the innovation team by coordinating innovation effort across DCPP, incorporating current PG&E Data Analytics and Community of Practice into DCPP and building programmatic structure to DCPP Innovation efforts.

 

PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. 

 

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $22.77 to $35.11.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Qualified candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering or related field at an accredited University.
  • Students must be continuing their education towards Bachelors or Master's degree during and/or after the internship with returning back to school in the Fall of 2024.

Desired:

  • 3.0 GPA or greater in both cumulative GPA and major GPA
  • Data Science experience in utilities, municipalities, or other industrial setting
  • Experience with database design
  • Ability to work in a team environment and support fellow team members
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills 
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Takes initiative and can work independently with minimal direction

PG&E is unable to provide VISA sponsorship to students on an F-1, J-1 or other student visa for this position.
