Teacher Assistant Paid Internship

Summary Children's Community Development Center in Westport has space available in a grant funded 6 month paid internship and college study program for people interested in starting a career in Early Childhood Education. On the job training to work with infants and toddlers. Position starts May 20, 2024 Duties Participants will be required to work an average of 30 hours per week for 6 months from the start date.
Pay will be $16 per hour.
We will provide certification training in First Aid, CPR, Administration of Medication, and Epipen.
The Care4Kids Health and Safety Orientation must also be completed.
Candidate must be prepared to complete a 3 credit course in Early Childhood. The course will be paid by the grant.
Classroom time and study/training time included. Requirements Candidates must be new to the field of formal Early Childhood Education. Benefits There is a travel stipend of $50 per week included.
