Job Description:
Job Summary:
The Temporary Research Operations Intern will assist the Operations Manager and other staff with various projects related to managing our internal knowledge base and research literature tracking. We are looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about evidence-based policy and promoting economic stability and opportunity. This internship is a great opportunity to help you improve your research literacy as well as your writing, documentation, knowledge management, and information synthesis skills.
Responsibilities :
Learning to use and implementing a knowledge-sharing platform (internal wiki).
Developing content/creating a wiki structure within a wiki page creation/editing platform (such as Wiki.js, BookStack, Github Pages).
Populating the wiki; writing, formatting, and editing sections of primarily research content for an internal audience.
Assisting in the documentation of internal processes and templates.
Setting up and building up a Zotero shared library of existing literature reviews and resources.
Creating Zotero/wiki training material /presentations.
Identifying, organizing, and categorizing resources such as best practices, processes, templates, research, and expertise within the organization.
Writing, formatting, and editing technical sections of reports and works for dissemination.
Completing administrative tasks for IEL projects or operations.
Other related work as needed.

Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Experience with statistics program evaluation, econometrics preferred.
Familiarity with research theory, methods, and literature preferred.
Education, Experience, or Certifications :
Education :
High school diploma required.
Significant progress towards or completion of a degree in economics, public policy, statistics, or a related social science discipline preferred.
Technical Knowledge or Skills :
Comfort with Microsoft Office and Google Tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Google Sheets, Google Slides).
Experience building/editing within a wiki environment preferred.
Experience using citation management software such as Zotero, Endnote, or RefWorks preferred.
Experience with html a plus.
Experience using Github a plus.
Pay Range :
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
