Job Description - Trade Marketing Internship

The Role:

 

Trade Marketing is the link between marketing and sales. In this role you will create strategies and implement activities to promote and sell products within the distribution and retail channels. Trade Marketing supports the sales function with point-of-sale materials, programming, selling resources, brand standards, and strategic projects that drive sales efficiency and brand growth.

 

The Trade Marketing Intern is responsible for coordinating and managing various aspects of Trade Marketing projects within the Sales organization. This role involves coordination, communication, and organization to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet required quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Project Planning & Coordination:

· Assist with development and management of key project plans, timelines, and schedules. Define project goals and objectives.

· Coordinate tasks and communication among project members & stakeholders. Maintain accurate documentation including project plans, status reports, and meeting notes.

 

Trade Development:

· Gain an understanding of the beverage categories Congo operates within and identify opportunities at retail to improve and expand.

· Develop key local accounts in conjunction with the field sales team to support brand growth and execute programming.

 

Key Skills and Experience Preferred:

 

· Communication & Organization: Facilitate communication among team members, stakeholders, and other relevant parties. Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and any issues that may arise.

 

· Adaptability: ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment, adjusting strategies as needed based on internal and external feedback.

 

· Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in project tracking, internal and external facing resources, and adherence to brand standards in store.

 

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint required. Monday.com experience preferred.

· Majoring in Sales, Marketing, and/or Business Administration preferred.
