At BWXT, our interns perform challenging tasks in their field of study while developing and delivering unique solutions for use in a nuclear environment. A BWXT internship not only provides valuable on the job training but allows you to be a part of something bigger! 

BWXT offers paid internships along with a housing stipend for those interns whose home of record is more than 50 miles from Barberton, OH. Internships will last approximately 10-12 weeks. At the end of the internship, each intern has the opportunity to present their completed work/ assigned projects to the leadership team. 

Training Intern - Nuclear Operations Group - Barberton, OH 

Responsibilities :

• Support in the development of instructor lessons plans for new hire orientation and other modules
• Learn and support the administration process involved with training record keeping, coordination, and scheduling
• Assist with the LSS Black Belt Project and learn about the LSS Methodology
• Participate (as needed) in the Quality audit and understand how important documentation and record retention is in the training department
• Assist with the development of new course curriculum or modules (including detailed lesson plans, instructional material, tests, and other course evaluation methods) in accordance with the training process and instructional design concepts used by Training Department
• Support with delivering and presenting training courses as assigned
• Assure the training record of each trainee is timely and accurately recorded
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Training

Requirements:

• Successful candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree focused on education, training, and/or facilitation
• Students must be at a Junior standing or above at the time the internship begins
• Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• US citizenship with no dual citizenship is required for this position
