Job Description

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour.

Position Purpose:

Through a cooperative effort, students will learn by applying their engineering knowledge to the overall functions of the water treatment process. When an intern completes their internship, they will have experienced every aspect of operating and maintaining a water treatment facility.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

• The collection and analysis of mandatory health department water samples.
• Conducting daily filter plant rounds.
• Calculating chemical dosages.
• Recording chemical tank levels.
• Recording equipment run times.
• Completing health department reports.
• Participating in maintenance projects.
• Performing daily inspections of the outer pump stations.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• College students who have completed one year and are majoring in engineering, sciences and computer technologies.
