• Department: Pharmacy inpatient

• Schedule:PRN, Interns work every other weekend, both Saturday and Sunday. They will also work 4 hours every other week on a weekday (day of the week and timing can be flexible).

Responsibilities

Perform the duties of a staff pharmacist under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

• Under direct supervision, maintain proper narcotic documentation and ensures proper distribution of narcotic medications.

• Under direct supervision, ensure appropriate selection of dosing, administering and monitoring of medication.

• Dispense medications accurately for delivery to patient care areas. May compound medications.

• Assist pharmacists with maintaining and monitoring patient profiles. Provide medication information and education to medical staff and patients.

Requirements

Education:

• High school diploma/GED required. Enrolled in degreed program specific to discipline.

Additional Preferences

Must be currently enrolled in a school of pharmacy.
