If so, apply now for this exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in our cutting-edge immunology research program to investigate the role of specific inflammatory pathways in myeloid cell biology in inflammatory skin diseases! As an intern in our program, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced researchers, learn laboratory techniques, and contribute to ongoing research projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This internship will provide the opportunity to learn about this disease area of interest, in vitro approaches used to model disease-relevant pathology, and techniques to modulate cellular mechanisms for therapeutic benefit. The research project will include ex vivo culture of human primary myeloid cells, including macrophages and dendritic cells under varying culture conditions, and employing different modulators to investigate the pathway of interest. The intern will get hands-on experience in conducting different assays and data processing including multiplex ELISA, immunoblotting, advanced flow cytometry (CYTEK) for immune phenotyping, CRISPR gene deletion technique for validation of pathway and RNA sequencing. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop experimental plans/protocols and execute experiments under the guidance of senior researchers.
• Assist with data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
• Participate in scientific meetings and present findings to the team.
• Learn how to place orders and maintain reagents for experiments.
• Comply with electronic laboratory notebook requirements.
• Follow laboratory safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Work in highly collaborative manner in a multidisciplinary team in a matrix- environment.

Qualifications and experience/skills:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a relevant field (e.g., biology, immunology, biochemistry).
• Previous laboratory experience is preferred but not required.

• Strong organizational and communication skills, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability.
• Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

• Interest in immunology research.
• Excitement and initiative to gain industry experience and learn new skills.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse work environment to meet project milestones in a timely fashion.

The base pay for this position is Sophomore $24/p/hr, Junior $25 p/hr, Senior $27p/hr, Master's degree $32p/hr.
