Job Description - Brand Marketing Intern

Overview :

We are excited to announce the J.Jill Corporate focused Internship Program,our summer 2024 internship which is a 10 week paid internship program running from June through August. This program is a full-time summer commitment. We are currently on a hybrid schedule, so students will be expected to work partially on-site and partially at home.

This program is designed to give rising juniors and seniors an opportunity to gain hands on insight and knowledge within a specialty Retail Company. Interns will participate in daily business activities in their assigned department while having the opportunity to learn about the company overall. Interns will also be able to learn from J. Jill’s senior leaders.

We are looking to bring on a passionate and creative Brand Marketing Intern to assist with the day-to-day Social Media and Public Relations activities as needed: including campaign creation and management, competitive assessments, Influencer marketing, earned media coverage and press event management.  As a brand marketing intern, you will work closely with the Senior Manager and Senior Communication Specialist in Brand Marketing to manage content and campaigns across social channels. 

Responsibilities :

Assist with daily campaign management and special projects across Social Media and Public Relations.

Research and share the latest social marketing and public relations trends, news, platforms, and techniques as needed.

Assist with the briefing, reviewing, and planning of content calendars for social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.)

Assists in the coordination for Earned Media requests for PR

Assist with the management of Influencer programming

Aids Senior Communications Specialist in weekly and monthly reporting of social media and PR

Assist with presenting weekly social performance reporting

Qualifications :

Working toward a degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations or related field

Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Tik Tok, Pinterest, etc.), key performance metrics, and engagement metrics.

Experience in Public Relations is a plus

Self-Starter with a passion for marketing and testing new strategies to enhance campaign learnings.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance creative thinking

Demonstrates ability to work well as part of a team

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Able to take direction and work independently on projects

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Experience with social media platforms i.e. META business Manager, Sprinklr or other listening tools

Experience in Adobe is a plus
