Job Description - Intern, KFL Integrated Marketing

Overview:

This hybrid position will be located at our Corporate Office in New York.

As an Intern, you will learn about the retail and e-commerce industry, participate in a collaborative business project corporate training, meet the Leadership Team, and attend fun virtual events. Be part of the team that leads innovation in the sneaker industry, and wear cool kicks to work! We offer paid internships at our corporate locations in New York, NY.

Responsibilities:

We are in search of a dynamic and analytical Integrated Marketing intern to join our team. This role revolves around gaining a holistic understanding of the KFL brand across various channels. We are looking for a candidate who can infuse creativity and innovation into the strategy. The intern will be responsible for examining our online brand image, analysis of competitor strategies and bring fresh new ideas to the table.

 

As an Integrated Marketing intern, you will...

 

  • Gain insight into the different digital marketing channels and how they work together to drive conversion and consideration for our consumers (SEM/SEO, Social, CRM, Affiliate).
  • Engage with cross functional partners including creative, content, and digital marketing to align strategies.
  • Conduct a brand audit of KFL’s existing brand presence across various platforms.
  • Assist the authoring of marketing briefs, across various marketing touchpoints, including advertising, editorial, influencer strategy, etc.
  • Support the marketing team in testing new digital and social platforms.

Creative Content:

  • Collaborate with cross functional partners to drive creative development from conceptual ideation, through production to ensure a consistent and cohesive brand image.
  • Propose strategies to enhance brand visibility across diverse platforms.
  • Assist in building key pitch decks, including Go to Market plans and internal selling milestones.

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry and competitive insights.
  • Analyze competitors and provide insights for marketing strategies.
  • Propose creative ways to incorporate trends into our marketing initiatives.

CRM:

  • Support the marketing team in CRM planning and execution, ensuring emails for launches, key priorities, and events are executed on time with the right content.
  • Participate in creating plans for content across digital channels, testing new media platforms, and analyzing what is working well vs. opportunities to do more.

Social Media Management:

  • Collaborate with the team to deepen insights into social media landscape and evolving trends.
  • Explore innovative approaches to integrate social media within the broader marketing strategy.
  • Provide recommendations for leveraging social media as a key brand building tool.
Qualifications:

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: 

To qualify for an internship with Foot Locker, individuals must:

  • Be a junior or senior in college pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or 3 years of work experience
  • Arrange the internship with the educational institution on a for-credit basis, if necessary.
  • Be 18+ years of age at the start of the internship.
  • Be available to participate in the entire program's length (May 13th – July 26th).
  • Be available to work Monday-Friday (40 hours/week).
  • Be familiar with and have used Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
  • Able to commute to the designated Foot Locker Office.

GENERAL:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing,
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proven experience within digital data entry with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written , critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively and accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Benefits:

The Summer Internship Program pay rate is $16.00 / hour. The pay rate is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below:
