Title: Marketing Intern
Payroll Title: Operations Clerk
Division & Department: Higher Education
Job Status: Temporary Part-Time Hourly
Reports to: Director, Marketing Higher Ed
Location: Remote – Anywhere in the contiguous US
This is a 6 to 9 month paid internship at $15/hr and requires about 20 hours per week.
Job Summary
This internship is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about marketing communications and wants to gain invaluable hands-on marketing experience with a leading global company. In addition to supporting the Marketing Manager with other tasks related to trade shows, market research, etc., they will play a key role in the launch of LeaderU.
Essential Job Functions
+ Lead as a project coordinator
+ Organize and support tradeshow, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities.
+ Follow up on sales leads.
+ Execute sales outreach to prospects
+ Participate in developing social media strategy.
+ Create content around existing offerings and collateral.
+ Monitor social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
+ Organize an editorial calendar.
+ Execute other marketing projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
+ The candidate will be working towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or communications.
Preferred Skills & Experience
+ Knowledgeable about web marketing and effectively communicating/positioning a product or service.
+ This role requires an outgoing team-player mindset, a great attitude, written and verbal communication skills, and possess initiative.
+ Organizational skills and attention to detail are critical.
+ Experience/understanding of project coordination, social media, graphic design, HTML and website development.
+ Experience or desire for business development/sales
