Job Description - 1665 - Electrical Engineering Intern

Sigma Defense is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support the design, integration, testing, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and RF-based equipment. The role involves hands-on work with electronic components, communication systems, and supporting hardware, assisting with troubleshooting, data collection, and system performance evaluation. The intern will work alongside engineers and technicians to support ongoing projects, contribute to technical documentation, and help ensure reliable operation of complex systems in both lab and field environments.

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • CompTIA+ or comparable experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.
  • Clearance may be sponsored for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities: (Not all-inclusive)

  • Assist in the setup, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and RF systems.
  • Support system integration efforts, including installation of components and equipment.
  • Collect and analyze performance data to support engineering evaluations.
  • Use test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers) to diagnose issues.
  • Document procedures, test results, and technical findings.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to support project execution and problem resolution.
  • Follow established safety, quality, and operational procedures during all tasks.

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour.
