At Applied\u2019s CTO group, we focus on solid-state solutions for quantum technology, i.e. superconducting qubits and optical quantum computing. Our primary objective is to collaborate with system companies and universities to develop quantum devices with significantly lower error rates compared to current standards. Our approach centers on harnessing state of the art materials engineering and semiconductor processing, as well as our expertise in advanced optics and other relevant areas to enhance device performance. To achieve this goal, we\u0027re seeking individuals with a strong background in quantum technology to join our expanding team. The position will entail the following:\n\n\u00b7 Collaborate with integration, process hardware, and metrology teams to design and develop next-generation quantum computing devices.\n\n\u00b7 Perform lithography setup wafer analysis to characterize and define process windows.\n\n\u00b7 Demonstrate strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, fabrication process flow and operate fabrication tools at a fundamental level.\n\n\u00b7 Explore new growth opportunities by leveraging Applied\u2019s expertise in precision materials engineering.\n\nRequirements\n\n\u00b7 Must be pursuing a Master\u2019s or PhD degree in Physics, Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.\n\n\u00b7 Must be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.\n\n\u00b7 Experience in semiconductor processing is required; prior knowledge in one or more of the following areas is preferred: lithography, PVD, and CVD\n\nApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
