Job Summary:


We are seeking highly motivated emerging talent to participate in a 10-week immersive internship program from June 8, 2026, to August 14, 2026. This program offers university and graduate students hands-on experience through project-based work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Throughout the program, Interns will have exposure to mentorship, networking, and professional development opportunities.


This Intern will be involved in developing or refining one component of the production process for several inorganic salts, focused on but not limited to crystallization, dewatering, and drying.


Responsibilities:





  • Calculate enthalpies of reactions, power factors, pump head, and more to construct CAD models and process diagrams

  • After thorough research, balance competing requirements such as cost, throughput, and chemical compatibility to develop an efficient system

  • Manage a budget, communicate with vendors, and populate a bill of materials

  • Present and explain their design to a team of engineers and technicians, and incorporate their feedback to fulfill their vision



Requirements:



  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering; junior or senior standing by fall 2026

  • Strong interest in chemical engineering

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to travel for in-person orientation and program kickoff as well as for final presentation at program completion


 Preferences:



  • Previous internship, coursework, or project experience


Hourly Pay Range: $23.50-$30.00 per hour


*Hourly rate determined by academic year, college major, line of business, geography
