Position Overview:
The World Languages and Cultures Department seeks Italian, French, German, and Spanish Oral Proficiency (OPC) leaders to support language students practicing their speaking skills.
- New leaders should register for the Techniques Training Course WLC 293-01.
- This application is for students who have already been offered an Oral Proficiency Leader position.
Responsibilities\:
Meet with the OP students weekly for 50 minutes to practice the target language.
Conduct activities designed to encourage language students to communicate in the target language.
Keep careful records of student’s participation and attendance.
Submit class records on time.
Attend training orientation each semester.
Learning Objectives:
Gain knowledge on campus resources.
Provide quality customer service.
Gain an understanding of professionalism and confidence.
Preferred Qualifications\:
An Oral Proficiency Leader must possess the following ACTFL level:
Italian, French, German or Spa 103- Intermediate High
Italian, French, German or Spa 102- Intermediate Mid
Italian, French, German or Spa 101 - Intermediate Mid
For Spanish 203- Advance Low
