Job Description - 340 B Intern


Title:  340B Intern         


Department:  Business Operations


Reports To:  Coordinator & AVP Finance


Location: Executive Office


Position Status:  Part Time


FLSA Status:  Non-exempt



 


SUMMARY OF POSITION:


The 340B Drug Discount Program Intern (“Intern”) will maintain 340B invoice and inventory files.  The intern will conduct monthly program audits and generate reports to pharmacy committee. 


 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Maintain files of all documentation related to 340B program, including invoices, dispensing


schedules, and wholesaler invoices



  • Conduct monthly audits

  • Prepare audit reports for pharmacy committee meetings

    • Support 340B Specialist in monthly compliance testing to ensure all scripts are properly included/excluded from the program

    • Maintain and update clinic administered drug inventory report and assist in staff training

    • Update provider files sent to Third Party Administrator

    • Update monthly dashboards in which show 340B activity for respective month

    • Various other duties supporting 340B Specialist

    • Support HCV task team by:

      • o    Analyzing data and preparing reports/recommendations

      • o    Preparing materials for patient education and support group activities

      • Supporting client engagement activities:

        • o    Monthly themes and workshops: prepare materials and activities

        • o    Assisting with promotion at clinics

        • o    Analyze data and produce reports on impact of engagement activities:



      • Client satisfaction

        • §  ii.     Visit data

        • §  iii.     Pharmacy data

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 18 years of age. Demonstrate effective communication skills. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.  Excellent interpersonal skills.  Able to prioritize workload.  Presently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduated program with a concentration in Pharmacy or Health & Human Services.  Can maintain confidence when dealing with individuals at all professional levels.  Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely and responsive manner, with a high degree of accuracy.  Must be able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
