The Office Assistant in the Center for Academic Advising will provide support and assistance to the Advising Center staff. Job duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Interacting with new and current students by phone, in-person and through email to assist with general questions
Assisting with events and special projects
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
A successful candidate will:
be a current UWS student
have exceptional organization and communication skills
will take initiative and follow instructions with minimal supervision
have working knowledge of Microsoft programs
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed Digital Accessibility Training.
$11/hour

Employment will require a criminal background check, and if you have prior work history within the last seven years with Universities of Wisconsin or State of Wisconsin agencies, a personnel file review check for employee misconduct. It will also require your references to answer questions regarding employee misconduct, sexual violence and sexual harassment. The University reserves the right to check references with notice given to the candidates at the appropriate time in the process.
