Accounting Intern

Basic Description: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to join our Finance team. The intern will assist the accounting department with day-to-day tasks, including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the month-end close process. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mortgage accounting and learn how finance supports real estate lending operations. 

Responsibilities:

• Daily & Monthly reconciliations including but not limited to, Borrower Loan Imports, Online Payments, Upfronts & Escrow repair.
• Assist the servicing & accounting/finance teams with day-to-day operations.
• Assist with Marketing budgets, reconciliation and communication.
• Annual Business Property Tax Declarations by location.
• Various other tasks as the position grows. 

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

• Business Student, preferably a student seeking Accounting Degree
• Availability to work 15-20 hours a week, schedule is flexible between 8-5, M-F 
• Position requires prolonged time sitting at a desk and working from a computer
