Accounting Internship (Summer 2025)

Internship Overview: Are you passionate about accounting and interested in the real estate and multifamily housing industry? This internship offers you a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and rewarding sector. As an Accounting Intern with Goldberg Companies and GCI Residential, you'll work closely with our accouting team to assist in the day to day operations all while gaining valuable hands-on experience!

Key Responsibilities:

• Shadowing members of the accounting department as they perform their normal duties
• Preparing financial reports including monthly operating statements and budget to actual reviews
• Learning how to work as a part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze financial data, track information and utilize technology to improve efficiency
• Using and navigating in several different systems
• Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity
• Representing the Company to internal and external customers
• Assisting with research, efficiency projects, data entry, filing and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Accouting, or similar field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
