About The Role & Program
Disney Advertising Sales is responsible for advertising sales and integrated marketing for The Walt Disney Company’s entertainment and sports offerings through linear, digital, social, addressable and radio businesses. This includes ABC, ABC News, Disney Channels Worldwide, ESPN Networks, Freeform, Disney Digital, FX Networks, National Geographic Networks, Hulu, Disney+, and its eight ABC-owned local stations. Disney Advertising Sales (or DAS) works with media agencies and consumer brands to sell advertising via a “one-stop shop” approach across all platforms of all of the Disney brands.
The Business Operations team focuses on driving cross-functional alignment within the sales organization by supporting sales management and promoting collaboration. It aims to improve sales effectiveness through streamlined processes, automation, and enhanced support systems. By providing data-driven insights, the team helps inform strategic decisions, improve performance, and identify growth opportunities. It ensures data accuracy and consistency across reporting systems by partnering on data governance. Additionally, the team involves developing and communicating ad sales strategies in alignment with company growth objectives, fostering collaboration across teams such as Sales, Product, and Finance.
The internship program dates are June 8th through August 14, 2026.
What You Will DO
This immersive internship experience will enable the Intern to participate in and gain a rich understanding of the breadth of the advertising sales business. The Intern will develop an understanding of the organizational planning, data governance, executive reporting and marketplace analysis. Interns will be exposed to broader learning opportunities including departmental meetings, Client Connect senior leader meet & greets and cross-division internship experiences, as well as the opportunity to learn key industry terminology and hone professional communication skills.
The intern will shadow and work with team members on an array of fundamental tasks such as:
Driving cross-functional alignment within the sales organization by supporting sales management and fostering collaboration
Enhancing sales force effectiveness through streamlined processes, optimized procedures, automation, and improved support systems
Providing data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions, improve performance metrics, and identify growth opportunities, especially in high-impact areas
Ensuring data accuracy and consistency across reporting systems by partnering on data governance and reporting standards
Developing and communicating ad sales strategies in collaboration with business leaders, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about television, streaming, digital platforms, social networks and the media and advertising business
Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written
Motivated, quick and engaged learner, eager to contribute and take on new challenges
Strategic, detail-oriented and creative thinker, with the agility to work on multiple concurrent projects
Professionalism, reliability and integrity as a team player; comfortable working in a high performing team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience within advertising, media or sales, experience marketing sponsorships, prospecting and research/insights (academic or internship)
Familiarity with current Disney content across broadcast and streaming platforms
Proficiency in collaboration platforms and Adobe Creative Suite
Education
Junior or Senior year preferred
Major or previous coursework in Advertising, Business, Media, Marketing or related major preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York City area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
