Application Specialist Summer Internship program

Get hands-on experience and jump-start your career in industrial automation and control systems. Over 10 weeks, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers and field specialists, gaining exposure to the hardware, software, and technologies that keep chemical and manufacturing facilities running safely and efficiently. This program blends technical training with real‑world applications, giving you the chance to design, configure, and optimize systems that make a real impact.

Interns will take part in a variety of meaningful projects. In our panel shop, you’ll learn how to assemble and wire industrial control panels and see your work come to life during customer Factory Acceptance Tests—where you’ll also help host and interact with clients. Out in the field, you’ll support DeltaV system maintenance and modernization efforts at customer facilities across the Houston area. You’ll see how control systems operate full‑scale plants, build relationships with industry professionals, and troubleshoot real electrical and networking challenges. Throughout the summer, you’ll gain hands‑on familiarity with control room hardware, server rooms, and field I/O cabinets.

• You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program to participate
