THE FOUNDATION
The Miami Foundation builds the philanthropic, civic, and leadership backbone for Greater Miami. Since 1967, the Foundation has invested over $770 million to strengthen our community with partnerships and contributions from more than 1000 fundholders and 35,000 donors. The Miami Foundation, which currently manages over $570 million in assets, mobilizes donors, nonprofits, leaders, and locals to set a bold vision for our community's future and to invest in a stronger, more equitable, more resilient Greater Miami.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Collective Impact team is at the forefront of our Foundation’s work to address Greater Miami’s most pressing challenges by bringing together cross-sector partners to accomplish bold, equitable solutions as a unified force for change. The team builds powerful coalitions, listens deeply to community, and oversees complex and important initiatives that impact the future of Greater Miami.
Arts Access Miami is a transformative collective impact initiative uniting 25 of Miami’s leading arts education organizations. AAM was created to ensure that all youth in a community, from grades K-12, gain access to free, high-quality music and arts education programs, both in and out of school. Historically, arts organizations work in silos and view each other as competition. While some schools are oversaturated with arts programs, the school down the street lacks arts programming and support entirely.
The artlook® Miami map is an interactive, centralizing tool that empowers schools, nonprofit organizations, parents, and community members to explore and discover new arts opportunities, cultivate cross-sector partnerships, and unlock the arts assets within our community. The map visualizes where students in Miami-Dade have access to arts education programming and highlights areas where coordinated investment can make a significant impact.
The Arts Education Intern will use their project management, communication, data analysis and community outreach skills to support several projects within our Arts Access portfolio this year.
This is a six month, part-time position. Non-exempt. 15-20 hours per week.
The intern will report to the Collective Impact Senior Manager.
