Assistive Technology Intern

About the Role: We’re seeking an Assistive Technology Intern to support projects that explore how technology can better serve people with disabilities. This flexible, hands-on role offers exposure to assistive tech across design, research, and implementation. Interns select at least one project area based on their interests and skills.

Project Areas (choose one or more):

• Assistive Technology Database: Help organize and build an internal catalog of assistive devices using Microsoft Office/SharePoint tools.

• Assistive App Design: Brainstorm and design accessible app concepts that address unmet needs for adults with disabilities.

• 3D Print Design: Design or modify 3D-printable tools and assist with tracking and managing print requests.

• Assistive Tech Research: Research and share new or emerging technologies that could be used as assistive tools.

Who This Is For

• Individuals interested in technology, design, research, or social services.

• Those curious about how technology can positively impact people’s daily lives.

• No prior assistive technology experience required—just curiosity and a willingness to learn.

This is an unpaid internship opportunity that is only open to current students. The intern may be able to satisfy course credit if approved by the student's institution of learning.
