Athens Church Residency Program

Athens Church is committed to investing in the next generation of ministry leaders. This

residency program provides a structured environment for theological education, practical

ministry experience, and professional development. Residents will have the opportunity to grow under the guidance of experienced leaders while making a meaningful impact in the local church community.

REPORTS TO: Ministry Area Director

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT:

• Athens Church covers 50% of seminary tuition, paid directly to Wheaton College.
  


• A required one-week intensive will take place on the Wheaton campus.

WORK EXPECTATIONS:

• 20 hours per weekParticipation in the mandatory North Point Residency Retreat (August 18-20, 2025)
  


• Required attendance at monthly all-staff meetings and any Athens Church staff retreats


• Attendance at all mandatory North Point meetings (scheduled by North Point)

TIME OFF:

• Two weeks of vacation (10 days)


• All federal holidays
  


• Floating Birthday (1 day)


• The week between Christmas and New Year's
  


• A maximum of 4 Sundays can be missed per year (with the approval of a supervisor)

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:

• Mileage reimbursement for all required trips to North Point for the residency program, with reimbursement details and limits to be provided upon acceptance into the program.


• Counseling reimbursement available, up to $2,000 per year

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• The residency program does not guarantee future full-time employment with Athens Church.


• Residency pay begins on the official start date.

• 24-months


• Part-Time


• Approximately 20/hrs week


• Sunday-Thursday
