Athletics

This application is for anyone interested in on-call employment opportunities within the HutchCC Athletics Department.  This application is for both students, as well as non-students.  

On-call employees may assist with athletic events, facility preparation, concessions, ticketing, game-day operations, live streaming, and other duties as assigned. Work hours will vary based on departmental needs and scheduled events, and regular weekly hours are not guaranteed.

Essential Functions:

• Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.


• Report to work on time when scheduled or when an accepted on-call shift has been assigned.


• Communicate promptly with the supervisor regarding availability, scheduling conflicts, or an inability to work an accepted shift.


• Successfully complete assigned responsibilities in a professional, safe, and timely manner.


• Provide courteous and professional service to students, employees, visitors, officials, and members of the public.


• Perform other athletics-related duties as assigned.

Game Operations - The hours for this position will vary

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Essential Functions: 

• Set-up and breakdown of equipment required for specific activities to the event


• Assist other employees as needed.


• Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.


• Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.

Secondary – 

• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Coordinator of Events

QUALIFICATIONS:
 

• Must be a neat and clean individual. Portraying a positive image to students, staff and community members is essential.


• The ability to cooperate with students and college personnel.


• Physical requirements include the ability to safely push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, climb, walk, carry, and to regularly lift up to 25 pounds; possess eye/hand/foot coordination sufficient to operate equipment, tools, etc., perform other physical activities as becomes necessary.


• May work in adverse weather conditions.


• The qualifications listed are guidelines for selection purposes; alternative qualifications may be substituted if sufficient to successfully perform the duties.

Live Stream - The hours for this position will vary

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Essential Functions: 

• Ability to operate cameras, tri-pods, audio equipment and cabling.


• Set-up and take-down equipment needed for events.


• Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.


• Flexibility for travel.


• May work in adverse weather conditions.


• Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.

Secondary – 

• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Assistant Athletic Director

QUALIFICATIONS:
 

• Must be a neat and clean individual. Portraying a positive image to students, staff and community members is essential.


• The ability to cooperate with students and college personnel.


• Physical requirements include the ability to safely push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, walk, carry, and to regularly lift up to 50 pounds; possess eye/hand/foot coordination sufficient to operate equipment, tools, etc., perform other physical activities as necessary.


• May work in adverse weather conditions.


• The qualifications listed are guidelines for selection purposes; alternative qualifications may be substituted if sufficient to successfully perform the duties.

Concessions - The hours for this position will vary

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Essential Functions: 

• Ability to handle money, accurately disperse change to patrons and ability to process digital payments.


• Must follow and adhere to food handling guidelines as set by the Kansas Department of Health and Human Resources.


• Ability to a multi task and provide customer service.


• Assist other employees as needed.


• Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.


• Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.

Secondary – 

• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Assistant Athletic Director

QUALIFICATIONS:

Line Judge - The hours for this position will vary

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Essential Functions: 

• A line judge in volleyball assists the referees by watching the boundaries of the court and signaling whether a ball lands in or out.


• Assist other employees as needed.


• Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.


• Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.

Secondary – 

• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by 

QUALIFICATIONS:
 

• Must be a neat and clean individual. Portraying a positive image to students, staff and community members is essential.


• Line judges must wear clean, professional athletic clothing that is approved by the current college officiating guidelines.


• Physical requirements include the ability to safely push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, walk, carry, and to regularly lift; possess eye/hand/foot coordination sufficient to operate equipment, tools, etc., perform other physical activities as necessary.


• May work in adverse conditions with possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, tissue, and communicable disease.
