Athletics - Pep Band Worker (FWS/NFWS)

Position Summary/Purpose:

The purpose of the Pep Band Student Worker position is to support the growth, efforts, and goals of the GCU Pep Band.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:

• Aid with the transportation and storage of percussion equipment for different games/events that the GCU Pep Band performs at.

• Schedule students for tours with representatives from external companies/non-profit organizations.

• Identify, plan, and implement ways to streamline transportation and storage of equipment.

• Establish and maintain communication strategy to members of the GCU Pep Band regarding events, opportunities, workshops, presenters, etc.

• Additional duties as assigned.

Equipment Used and Responsibility:

• Konica Scanner and Printer

• Paper Slicer for cutting and distributing music

• Pep Band Golf Cart

Qualifications:

• Exceptional ability to organize information and pay attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Outstanding ability to manage time and handle multiple tasks and priorities.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License

• Clean Driving Record

Experience/Education:

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program.

• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student.

• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
