We believe in providing second chances, real-world job experience, and support that leads to lasting employment and personal growth. Every dollar raised helps us invest directly in the future of young people in our community.

The Bread For Life Golf Tournament is a key fundraiser that supports our mission—and this summer internship is a vital part of making it a success.

Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated and creative Summer Intern, who needs class credit, to support our efforts in advertising, sponsorship outreach, and fundraising for the 2025 Bread For Life Golf Tournament. The intern will also help create materials to raise broader awareness and support for Bread For Life’s mission throughout the summer.

This is a hands-on opportunity for a student or young professional interested in nonprofit work, marketing, or fundraising. The intern will work closely with our leadership team to engage sponsors, promote the tournament, and help build the tools that inspire donations and long-term support.

  • Create marketing and promotional content for the golf tournament and general Bread For Life awareness (social media graphics, flyers, email newsletters, etc.)

  • Assist in maintaining a database of sponsor contacts, prospects, and donor leads

  • Help manage sponsor communication, acknowledgments, and benefits tracking

  • Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all materials

  • Research local businesses and potential partners aligned with our mission

  • Contribute to overall fundraising strategy for the golf tournament and summer campaign

  • Participate in team meetings (remote or in-person, depending on availability)

Ideal Candidate

  • A current student in need of class credit

  •  Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Relations, or related field

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable using social media and basic design tools (Canva, Adobe, etc.)

  • Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

  • Passion for community impact, youth empowerment, and nonprofit work

  • Access to a computer and internet connection; ability to work independently

What You’ll Gain

  • Real-world experience in nonprofit fundraising and event promotion

  • A portfolio of marketing and sponsorship materials you’ve helped create

  • The opportunity to contribute directly to the growth of a meaningful mission

  • Strong mentorship and networking with nonprofit professionals

The candidate who is selected for this position will have to successfully pass a drug screening and a criminal background check.
