The Carrier Payables Specialist Intern plays a key role in supporting the Accounts Payable team by managing payment processes for carriers and factoring companies. This includes verifying rates, setting up preferred payment methods, confirming remittances, and providing timely updates on payment statuses. This role also involves resolving payment-related inquiries and supporting internal process improvements.

• Process carrier and factoring company payable transactions accurately and efficiently

• Verify rates and update remittance information

• Set up bank accounts and preferred payment methods for carriers

• Provide timely payment status updates and confirmations

• Handle inquiries, concerns, and complaints from carriers and factoring companies professionally and effectively

• Maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive financial information

• Collaborate with the team to support internal and external audits

• Proactively identify and recommend improvements to existing processes and procedures

• Assist in managing payment workflows and follow-up actions
