Pay Rate: $25 - $28 per hour

Civil Engineering Intern

Delve Underground is seeking an entry level Civil/Geotechnical/Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2025 to assist with our technical tunnel design teams in Washington D.C.. Duties will include a variety of office and field assignments, with a focus on geotechnical or structural engineering analyses, development of drawings, specifications, research, calculations, project coordination, organizational tasks, and technical memoranda for heavy civil projects.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare design calculations under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Assist with the preparation of planning and design technical reports.
• Assist with preparing and maintaining contract drawings using AutoCAD.
• Communicate effectively with other designer and construction management staff
• Work on a variety of office and field assignments

Qualifications:

• Must be a currently enrolled college student working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or similar program
• Microsoft Office and Bluebeam PDF experience
• Candidates should be able to multi-task and prioritize work, have strong communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and technical communication skills.
