  • Maintain ethical and professional conduct consistent with scope of practice and program standards

  • Engage in required weekly individual and/or group supervision with a licensed clinician

  • Participate in required trainings, orientations, and professional development activities

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in an accredited graduate or doctoral program (MSW, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field)

  • Eligibility for field placement or practicum/internship per academic program requirements

  • Ability to commit to required on-site hours and supervision expectations

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

  • Interest in community-based, trauma-informed mental health practice

Preferred

  • Coursework in assessment, diagnosis, or clinical practice

  • Interest in working with children, adolescents, families, or underserved populations

  • Familiarity with DSM-5-TR concepts

  • Openness to learning Medicaid, OMHC, and Supported Employment service models

Internship Details

  • Setting: On-site clinical setting; telehealth permitted on a limited basis with supervisor approval

  • Schedule: Determined by academic program requirements and site availability

  • Supervision: Weekly supervision provided by a licensed clinician in accordance with academic and state requirements

  • Duration: One or two semesters, depending on academic program

What Interns Gain

  • Hands-on, in-person clinical experience in an OMHC setting
