Coach Across America Marketing &External Affairs VISTA

Established in 2010, Coach Across America (CAA) is the nationwide leader in engaging, training and supporting sports coaches to transform youth, programs and communities. Our AmeriCorps coaching program is the first national service program that challenges young adults to give back to their communities through a year of service as coach-mentors. CAA's research, training and on-the-ground initiatives empower sports programs across the country to become a united force for meaningful change. To date, CAA has reached over 600,000 youth by placing over 3,000 coaches in underserved urban communities. The CAA Marketing & External Affairs VISTA will play an integral role in event planning, brand awareness, and social media distribution. This will ensure that the CAA mission can reach more audiences and young people that desperately need our programming. The Development and Marketing Team is a close-nit group, and the Marketing and External Affairs VISTA will be able to learn virtually all aspects of nonprofit work. If you’re interested in a sustained future in nonprofits, this is an opportunity like no other. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree, a passion for the mission of CAA, and previous volunteer experience. Fundraising, marketing, event management, or sales experience is preferred but not required. The candidate will be an organized self-starter, work well under pressure, be a strong writer, and have a curiosity for learning about development, marketing, and events. Member Duties: The VISTA at CAA will be part of the 2025-2026 Coach Across America Sports VISTA nationwide cohort. The CAA Marketing & External Affairs VISTA will assist with project management, logistical planning, and execution of regional and national community engagement, fundraising, and brand awareness events, develop and maintain unique content to effectively communicate the organization's brand and impact, and work closely with the marketing team to manage the brand ambassador program and drive overall brand exposure through strategic initiatives and campaigns.
