College Work Study - Bookstore- Midlothian

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Checks out customers, assists customers in finding items in the store, handles merchandise and deliveries, cleans and straightens displays and shelves, takes out the trash, and restocks deli items.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Basic math skills. Retail experience is preferred but not a requirement, friendly personality, able to give good customer service, able to handle conflict professionally, physical ability to be able to lift a box of books between 40 - 50 lbs. multitask is a must.

WORKING CONDITIONS: The college bookstores are very busy and stressful during the rush periods at the beginning of the semesters. The ability of being able
to handle a stressful working environment is a must for this job.
