About the position:
The Corps Network seeks a Communications Intern to work a hybrid schedule for 16-20 hours per week. The ideal candidate must be able to commit through at least the beginning of December 2026, but the position may be extended beyond. This position is suited for a rising Junior or Senior in college, or a recent college graduate.
Working with the Communications Manager, the intern will help create media lists, write articles, blog posts, and press releases; assist with social media, press outreach, and email outreach; assist with basic website maintenance; help with event planning and implementation; and may be asked to help prepare visual materials (handouts, videos, graphics, etc.).
The selected candidate for this position will benefit from gaining experience with a wide range of communications tools. This position will provide the intern the opportunity to: develop a professional communications writing portfolio, have his/her written work published online; build his/her media relations skills, gain social media content creation and management skills in a professional setting, manage the back-end of a website; learn the basics of various software programs commonly used in the communications field.
