Job Description - Community Information Exchange (CIE) Intern


POSITION STATEMENT

The CIE Intern is responsible for working with CIE clients on site at Gryphon Place’s CORRE Center and at partner organizations. This role also involves communicating the goals of CIE to community organizations and assisting efforts to expand the program.


Requirements

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Participate in outreach to promote CIE services at partner organizations and schedule client intakes

· Conduct comprehensive client intakes to assess individual needs

· Perform follow-up calls to ensure client needs have been met, while gathering qualitative data to support the CIE and demonstrate impact and success stories

· Identify and engage potential partner organizations for the CIE; collect and document detailed information about their programs, services, eligibility criteria, and current availability for client referrals

· Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation in compliance with relevant regulations and policies

· Attend staff, team and department meetings and training as assigned

· Perform all other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

· High School Diploma/GED, some college experience

· Must complete CIE training and ASIST suicide intervention skills training through Gryphon Place.

· Must have reliable transportation and a valid Michigan Driver’s License.

· Must be available between the hours of 8am-6pm Monday through Friday and flexible weekend and evenings as assigned for outreach events.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

· Ability to work collaboratively with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.

· Must be an empathetic and caring individual.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients

· Knowledge of community resources, and relevant public programs and benefits.
