Description:

The St. John Paul II Foundation seeks a part-time intern. The intern will contribute to the mission of the St. John Paul II Foundation by working on the Together in Holiness and Converging Roads initiatives alongside the Conference Team and assisting the Office of the President with operational responsibilities. The intern must be a person who is invested in the mission, has good organizational and communication skills, and is detail-oriented. The position is part-time, 8–16 hours per week, and is in-person in Houston, TX.

The St. John Paul II Foundation believes in supporting the professional growth of its employees and interns. The intern will be given the opportunity to learn about the daily operations of a Catholic non-profit organization; the process for executing mission initiatives within dioceses; models of ministerial collaboration across institutions and with volunteers; and responsibilities involved with planning, organizing, promoting, hosting, and evaluating mission events. The intern will be helped in strengthening their professional skills and will be encouraged to explore and develop new skills and professional insights. The intern will have a valuable role in supporting the mission of the Foundation to proclaim the Good News about life and family through education and formation.

Major Duties:

• Assisting Conference Coordinators in planning, organizing, promoting, and evaluating Together in Holiness and Converging Roads conferences


• Drafting and distributing marketing materials for conference events via email, mailings, phone calls, and social media


• Assisting Chief of Staff and Vice President with special projects for the Office of the President


• Data entry


• Day-to-day administrative needs with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel


• Participating in staff meetings, when applicable


• Contributing to the professional environment and Catholic culture of the St. John Paul II Foundation


• Perform other duties as assigned
