Data Team Intern

Position Summary:

The Data Team Intern will assist in transitioning our data services to the next level in our data journey. This person would fulfill tasks assigned by a supervisor, perform clerical duties, and learn technical skills related to how data is used in the banking industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop an understanding of our current data landscape.
2. Assist in configuring Snowflake to support core and online banking data.
3. Test, validate, and move reports from Oracle to Snowflake.
4. Assist in setting up custom tables in Snowflake.
5. Assist the department with work assignments such as project work coverage of day-to-day activities and attending team meetings as assigned.
6. Participate in internship program activities as presented.
7. Other duties as required.

Physical Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, walk, stand, sit, bend, reach with hands and arms, climb, push/pull, use hands, and see, hear, and speak.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field is required.
2. An understanding of Agile and Waterfall workflow methodology is preferred.
3. Experience using collaboration tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, and Miro or other related tools is preferred.
