Job Description - Digital Marketing Internship

Description

URM Stores, Inc. is looking for a Digital Marketing Internship. This internship is designed for individuals eager to develop their skills in the accounting field while contributing to our organization's success. If you are ready to take the next step in your career journey, we encourage you to apply!

This internship will be a 3 to 6-month program that could lead to a permanent position, but this is not guaranteed. 

Pay & Schedule:

This is a paid internship ($16.66/hour) and perfect for a current student studying Marketing, or related field.  We can be flexible around your school schedule as long as you can be available anytime between the following window: Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm.

Education:

Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a college or university program, in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Digital Media, or a related field is required.

Desired skills & Experience:

  • Strong interest in digital marketing and a desire to learn about current trends and strategies within the grocery/retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of digital initiatives including Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing is required.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, content creation, and campaign management tools is required.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, track campaign performance, and optimize strategies based on insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Google Analytics or similar tools is an advantage.
  • Previous internship/experience or coursework/projects related to marketing, advertising, or customer engagement is a plus but not required.

What you will be doing:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive analysis, and opportunities to enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the design and content teams to brainstorm and execute creative ideas for marketing initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and implementing multi-channel marketing campaigns, including email, web, digital coupons, and social      media platforms.
  • Create, schedule, and manage engaging content for social media channels, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Analyze digital performance insights to understand technology trends and consumer shopping behaviors that will inform URM’s digital roadmap
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions to improve customer engagement.

  • Exposure to key marketing tools and software used in digital campaigns.
  • An understanding of how to analyze and optimize a variety of marketing efforts to increase customer engagement.
  • Gain a fundamental understanding of key marketing principles, including segmentation, branding, and the marketing mix.
  • Develop practical skills in various areas of marketing, such as content creation, social media management, email marketing, and digital advertising.
  • Conduct market research effectively to identify potential customers and market trends.

Lastly, applicant must be within the geographical area or able to relocate on their own to the location. URM Stores Inc will not aid with relocation.
