Approximately 1/4th of Northrop Grumman\u2019s 90,000 employees self-identify as veterans, and more than 1,600 are reservists.\n\nThe Northrop Grumman Military Internship Program (NG-MIP) is an approved SkillBridge Program under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.1322.29. NG-MIP program is an opportunity for transitioning service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through an individual internship during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days. The Northrop Grumman Military Internship Program is open to all ranks and experience levels. SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Northrop Grumman, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members. \n\nResponsibilities for this internship position are:\n\nNorthrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) has developed the Northrop Grumman \u2013 Military Internship Program (DoD SkillBridge) utilizing the DoDI guidance for SkillBridge. During this program the service member will be on-site at his or her host company performing an individual internship in an entry to mid-level career type role. The service member will be on the job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40hrs per week. Outlined below are the Goals, Objectives, and Outcomes for the program. \n\nGoals - transitioning service members fellowship-style job skills training during the last portion(s) of their military commitment. This program is specifically designed to offer internships that result in the potential to transition to a full-time opportunity as the conclusion of the training. Interns will serve as a pipeline for high-speed, motivated military candidates into NGC.\n\nObjectives \\- Service Members who complete the Intern program will be highly trained, capable, future employees that align to the specific needs of the organization and are prepared to meet the NG mission \u201cDefining Possible\u201d on Day 1. This program provides a comprehensive internship experience including professional development, networking with leadership, and training specifically focused on NG leadership principles, company history, customer/stakeholder engagement, product and service overview, and core job responsibilities.\n\nOutcome \u2013 Offer transitioning service member a rewarding opportunity to join the Northrop Grumman team.\n\nDoD SkillBridge Eligibility: \n\n * Has served at least 180 days on active duty\n\n * Is within 12 months of separation or retirement\n\n * Will receive an honorable discharge\n\n * Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS\n\n * Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months\n\n * Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internshipMPR\n\n\n\n\nNorthrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Logistics Planner to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.\n\nThe selected Candidate(s) will work in the Product Support - Logistics \u0026 Modernization organization on the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, as well as, E-2C Hawkeye and C-2 Greyhound to provide logistics spares support which includes Processing Tactical Spares Requests for Quotes for DLA and other customers. Selected applicant may be asked to perform a wide range of Logistics Support tasks within the organization. \n\nThese tasks include, but are not limited to:\n\n * Technical Research of various aircraft systems\n * Providing logistics support for various other functions e.g. Contracts, Global Supply Chain, Pricing, etc.\n * Reporting Metric data\n * Reading technical aircraft drawings\n * Maintaining various databases and spreadsheets\n * Inspect new deliveries and create required shipment forms\n * Coordinate with DCMA to achieve buy-off of Spares Deliveries\n * Supporting Spares conferences with customers\n\n\n\nThe selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations in order to ensure reports are competed in an efficient manner within existing financial constraints and procedures in order to meet customer needs and company objectives. The Planner builds relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers through direct communication.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * 2 years of Logistics Experience with a Bachelors, 0 years with a Masters, or 6 years of military logistics experience in lieu of degree\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance\n * Must have intermediate proficiency using MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint\n * Must have the ability to write a schedule based on supplier information\n * Must have the ability to review and analyze customer requests to determine if a response can be produced\n * Able to create shipping documents with attention to detail for contractual compliance \n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Active DoD Secret Clearance\n * Previous experience in the DD250/WAWF Submission process\n * Experience with FAR/DFARS\n * Experience coordinating with DCMA\n * Experience using SAP and Content Management Systems\n * Intermediate experience with SharePoint and MS Project\n\n\n\n#MPR\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $55,100.00 - $82,700.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
