In this role you will assist in ensuring the facility’s compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and Therma-Tru EHS standards.  The successful candidate will be expected to adhere to established operational procedures and standard work to assist facility managers to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.

YOUR ROLE:

• Facility Assessments:  We anticipate this job will be focused on creating LOTO procedures and ergonomic assessments for roughly 80% of the time.
• Training, Education, & Awareness:  Intern candidate will assist in task related to EHS training to help ensure environmental compliance, emergency response and legal liability issues.  Candidate may also assist in developing and maintaining compliance training database. 
• Safety Cultural Development: Intern Candidate will support safety activities aimed at improving plantwide cultural initiatives. 
• Safety Program Involvement: Intern Candidate must support safety initiatives, including driving participation, supplying data, and other tasks as assigned.  Candidate will participate in additional projects as time permits.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active student enrolled in EHS-related field preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Strong time management skills
• Proficiency in database, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $18 - $20 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
