The Atlantic Mobile Health Department is proud to offer the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Trainee Program. This paid, 12-week, full-time program provides comprehensive classroom and field training to prepare candidates for EMT certification and immediate transition into full-time EMT roles within Atlantic Health.

Hourly Training Rate: $19.24 / hr.

Our EMTs Are Responsible For

  • Providing pre-hospital care to sick or injured patients.

Day in the Life of an Atlantic Mobile Health EMT

  • Respond to 911 calls and support local first aid squads.
  • Transport patients to and from hospitals and specialty centers.
  • Assist MICU and paramedic teams during high-acuity cases.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and hospital staff.
  • Engage in community outreach and safety initiatives.


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 125 lbs.
  • Must maintain respirator fit test readiness at all times.
  • Valid driver’s license free of restrictions.
