Engineering Intern- Data Analysis

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., makers of YellaWood brand pressure-treated pine, is seeking an Engineering Intern- Data Analysis for the summer of 2027. This program is an opportunity to experience the lumber industry and workforce like never before. From networking opportunities and real-world projects to community service events, Great Southern provides the incredible opportunity to gain valuable real-world experience.

 Responsibilities may include:

• Performing data collection and analysis


• Generating reports based on results


• Assisting in designing new products, developing stereotypes, and testing existing products for safety or quality issues


• Using engineering software to model data or suggest solutions


• Communicating with supervisors or internal customers to gather info about project requirements or to report progress on a project

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least a Sophomore and actively seeking a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical or industrial engineering with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.


• Must have experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook. Experience with Dashboard and reporting software such as PowerBI is preferred.
