Job Title: Entrepreneurial Programs Intern

Position Overview
The Entrepreneurial Programs Intern will support the assessment, refinement, documentation and early implementation of VelocityTX’s entrepreneurial programs as the organization prepares for the next phase of its innovation activities. This role is focused on program development and improvement and offers hands -on experience in how entrepreneurial support programs are designed, evaluated, and operationalized within an innovation hub environment.
The intern will work closely with staff to review existing programs, research best practices from peer innovation centers, and help translate insights into practical recommendations, tools, and processes. In some cases, the intern may also support or manage the implementation of new procedures or tools under staff guidance. This position is well -suited for someone interested in entrepreneurship, innovation ecosystems, program design, or nonprofit and economic development work.
By the end of the internship, the intern will have contributed research, documentation, and implementation support that informs and strengthens the future direction of VelocityTX’s entrepreneurial offerings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with reviewing current entrepreneurial programs to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Research best practices and emerging models from innovation hubs, incubators, and accelerators, with attention to program structure, participant engagement, and measurable outcomes.
• Synthesize research findings into internal summaries, comparison tools, or recommendation memos to support program redesign efforts.
• Support the development, testing, and refinement of new or updated program processes, procedures, or tools.
• Assist with implementing approved changes, which may include setting up templates, updating documentation, piloting workflows, or managing defined tasks within a rollout plan.
• Support the development and updating of program materials such as one -pagers, presentations, agendas, internal guides, and reports.
• Enter, organize, and maintain program data; assist with analyzing historical attendance, participation trends, and feedback where available.
• Help document program processes, workflows, and templates to improve consistency, efficiency, and knowledge sharing.
• Support administrative functions including file organization, preparing meeting notes, and maintaining shared calendars and documentation systems.
• Assist with collecting and summarizing internal or stakeholder feedback related to entrepreneurial programming.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
• Currently enrolled in a college or university program, or recent graduate, with a major in
Business, Operations, Management, Entrepreneurial Development, or relevant fields.
• Experience with research, documentation, entrepreneurial programs is helpful.
Language Skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Computer Skills
Competency in using various Video Conferencing Software (Zoom, Google Meets, MS Teams), working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, and working knowledge of project management (PM) software such as Monday.com or similar PM software.
