Role:

KSL Capital Partners' Explorer Program is a 4-day immersive experience designed to broaden access to private equity and tailored to those eager to learn more about the industry. The curriculum will provide freshmen and sophomore undergrads with a comprehensive, hands-on introduction to finance. Participants gain exposure to the full investment lifecycle, from initial sourcing and evaluating opportunities to diving deep into how portfolio companies operate.

Program Highlights:

• Private Equity Foundations: Introductory sessions on how private equity works, key concepts, and an overview of the firm's history and investment approach. 


• Investment Team Overviews: Insight into how our Equity, Private Credit, and Tactical Opportunities teams identify, assess, and execute investment opportunities


• Portfolio Company Immersions: On-site visits to KSL portfolio companies including Alterra, Peregrine, Uchi, and Under Canvas, offering firsthand exposure to operations, strategy, and leadership discussions.


• Sector & Market Insights: Discussions on market dynamics  and industry trends, including the factors that influence investment decisions in travel and leisure


• Technical Skills Development: Excel and introductory financial modeling training to build essential analytical capabilities


• Mentorship & Networking: Opportunities to connect with firm professionals, ask career questions, and build meaningful relationships
