Job Description - Facilities Resident

Facilities Resident


Reports To: Facilities Coordinator 



Job Overview: The Facilities Resident will support Hill City Church objectives through the embodiment of our mission statement: Together we love God, love others and make disciples of Jesus Christ. In this role, you will work with and support all ministry leaders of Hill City Church to help them ensure excellence in their ministry events from a buildings and facilities standpoint. You will oversee building resources and systems to help our church run smoothly. Additionally, you will gain hands-on experience in creative problem solving and project management. 




Sunday Responsibilities: 



  • Oversee building readiness for Sunday Gatherings

  • Lead the Parking volunteer team

  • Assist with baptism Sunday responsibilities 

  • Roles as assigned 



Event and Ministry Support: 



  • Collaborating with ministry leaders in the event planning

  • Support ministry events by setting up/tearing down, building event layouts, and leading volunteer teams

  • Recruit and lead teams of volunteers for special projects

  • Organize building resources like chairs, tables, signage and supplies to be more efficient

  • Serve as a liaison between ministry leaders and security team to ensure security presence at ministry events

  • Assist Day Of Coordinator with facilities related set up/tear down, questions, forms and processes for outside organizations using our buildings

  • Assist in the strategic planning process and building of systems to increase standard of excellence for ministry events 



Building Facilities Support:



  • Work with Facilities Coordinator to determine efficient and cost effective ways to solve problems as they arise

  • Ongoing oversight of building resources and Planning Center system of organization 

  • Collaborating with Facilities Coordinator to build and update the Operations Budget 

  • Collaborate with Facilities Coordinator and Operations Team to assist in building projects

  • Communicate with outside vendors and contractors

  • Regularly using power tools to repair and maintain Hill City buildings 

  • Organize and restock warehouse supplies



Qualifications:



  • Associates Degree or applicable experience with facilities and event operations.

  • Willingness to work with a flexible / non-conventional job schedule

  • Organized and safety minded 

  • Able to lift heavy objects up to 40lbs

  • Experience with power tools, hand tools, nuts, bolts, screws, etc.

  • Become a covenant member / remain in good standing as a covenant member of Hill City Church

Hill City’s Residency Program exists to train, equip and send leaders to serve the Church.



The hope for Hill City’s Residency Program is that adults who desire to explore vocational ministry will get the opportunity to do so within the local church. After their time in the Residency Program, residents will be better equipped to serve the Church - whether vocationally or through serving as a high capacity leader. The Residency Program will help each individual better understand what they are called to do and how God has gifted them for ministry. As they are sent out of the Residency Program, residents will have a clear vision of where they are going and will be equipped to be effective leaders in the Church for generations to come.
