Job Overview 


Early Childhood Program Administrative Interns gain practical, hands-on experience in a nonprofit
setting. This is a unique internship for those seeking experience with program implementation and improvement, grant management, community collaboration, project management, and database navigation. This Early Childhood Program Administrative Intern will be part of a team in the Connections program that supports children 0 through age 5 in accessing resources and developmental information
. This internship position will receive a $500 stipend to help cover costs related to the internship (food, housing, transportation), and college credit can be earned.  


 


This internship will run from September 1st, 2025, through December 12th, 2025, and will have a mandatory orientation on August 28th, 2025, from 9:00 am-2:00 pm at the Family Futures’ office.
This internship can also be extended into multiple internship periods ending in either May 2026 or August
2026. If interested in a longer internship period, please reach out to the hiring manager.
 


 


Family Futures employees, volunteers, and interns serve as spokespersons and champions of Family Futures in the communities we serve. A position at Family Futures may entail
the following: the use of a personal vehicle, lifting of boxes (roughly 25 lbs.), as well as attendance of community events outside of regularly scheduled hours. For any adaptations or accommodations for the above information, please reach out to the hiring manager.
 


 


Roles and Responsibilities 



  • Gaining knowledge of the general principles of nonprofit administration 



  • Managing early childhood quality improvement projects  



  • Creating and modifying documents using Microsoft Office 



  • Inputting and analyzing data in various program databases and spreadsheets 



  • Using qualitative and quantitative data to develop recommendations on process and program implementation and improvement  



  • Creating and editing forms and survey materials  



  • Monitoring email and mail communications  



  • Assisting with weekly mailing tasks 


 


Required Qualifications 



  • Current college student or recent graduate 



  • Experience or interest in nonprofit management, social work or other relevant fields  



  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 



  • Strong written and verbal communications skills 



  • Strong Microsoft Office skills 



  • Detail-oriented 



  • Effective time management and organization 



  • Ability to maintain confidentiality 



  • Ability to work autonomously 



  • Able to meet deadlines 



  • Ability to work at least 15 hours per week 


 


Preferred Qualifications 



  • Able to work in a variety of capacities  



  • Strong organizational and planning skills  



  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people 



  • Experience with Canva, Survey Monkey, Microsoft Office, Adobe, WordPress, and Asana
