The Knowledge Development (KDEV) team leads NAFSA’s efforts to further higher education internationalization; produce publications, thought leadership, and trend analyses; and provide robust conference and other program content and networking experiences for the international education field. This internship is a joint position, shared between the departmental units and reporting to the Associate Director, Conference & Global Engagement, who will help coordinate assigned projects.

Compensation: $18.00/hour for up to 20 hours per week with opportunity for prorated holiday and retirement benefits, if eligible.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter; proficient with Microsoft Office suite applications, especially Excel and Word; experienced with customer service; adept with Zoom and social media platforms; and have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills. Preferred candidates will have an interest in and/or knowledge of higher education, global affairs, event planning, and project management.
To be considered, you must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US without requiring NAFSA’s sponsorship. We welcome students with valid work authorization, including those wishing to complete their experiential learning through their established curricular practical training (CPT), optional practical training (OPT), or academic training eligibility.
