Siemens Government Technologies is looking for a potential candidate for a summer internship as part of the Siemens Finance Leadership Development Program. The FLDP summer internship is structured to give interns an understanding of how the two-year Finance Leadership Development Program works. Through this internship, the intern will work on tasks and projects related to project controlling/commercial project management.
The intern will support the project controlling team through financial analyses, process improvement, and projects. In order to support these areas, the intern will receive training and guidance from a full-time project controller. The intern will work with a project controller to serve as a financial partner to the project manager and project teams. The intern may be responsible to perform or support the following tasks:
Responsibilities:
•Updating EAC project reports
•Forecast with project managers
•Update hedge transactions
•Provide support in the ongoing structuring of a standard foreign exchange hedging process (develop training material for current processes, outline the existing process for each contract type)
•Provide support in outlining current VAT Refund process (help develop training material for VAT treatment),
•Provide support with outlining current bond process per contract type
Qualifications:
•At least completed one year of credits from a accredited university and in the process of completing degree
•In the process of completing a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a focus on finance, economy, accounting or MIS
•Beginner/intermediate MS Excel skills with the ability to combine formulas for effective financial analyses as well as create Pivot Tables, financials models
•Ability to work independently and in group settings
•Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form
•Basic knowledge of accounting and GAAP principles
•Experience with ERP systems
Security Clerance:
•Candidate must be US citizen and have the ability to obtain and/or maintain a US federal agency security clearance
