About the Opportunity:
Are you a student looking to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, donor relations, and event planning? The Baby Fold’s Development and Public Relations Department invites interns to join our team during the fall and winter semester to support The Baby Fold’s Festival of Trees Fundraiser, our signature fundraising event. This is an excellent opportunity to strengthen your resume while making a real impact in the community.

This position is expected to work an average of 10 hours per week, with less hours in August and September, and more hours in October, November, and December. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit data management, client services, and donor relations—all while helping spread the spirit of the season.

What You’ll Do:

• Public Relations & Communications:
  • Help craft and organize solicitation materials
  • Engage with community stakeholders through phone calls and in-person visits
  • Assist with print communications and mailings for event promotion
• Development & Fundraising:
  • Build and manage lists of prospective donors and sponsors
  • Make cold calls to local businesses for donations and sponsorships
  • Coordinate and track in-kind donations, including picking up gift cards and donated       items
• Event Planning:
  • Contribute to pre-event logistics and volunteer coordination
  • Support day-of-event operations at Festival of Trees (attendance is required)

Who You Are:

• A current student majoring in Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
• A strong communicator; confident on the phone, in writing, and in person
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks
• Professional and courteous, with a passion for helping others
• Reliable transportation is required for local travel to pick up donations
