Geographic Information System Summer Worker

• The 2026 salary range for this position is $15.00 to $22.51 per hour depending on experience.


• Applicants without relevant experience should expect to start at $17.50/hr.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Duties listed are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.  Other duties may be required and assigned.

Position Duties

• Assist with data and creation of GIS files.


• Assist with scanning of documents and maps.


• Assist with replacement of 911 signs.

Non-Essential Functions

• Perform job related duties as assigned or apparent.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

Required Certifications/Licenses

• Must be 18 years of age.


• Valid Minnesota driver’s license with proof of insurance.

Desired Qualifications

• College education or training in a related field (GIS or Surveying, etc.). 


• Previous experience in GIS or Surveying activities.

Physical Requirements Of This Position

• Desk work involving use of a computer, telephone, and other devices.


• Communicate effectively with County staff and the public.


• Ability to read screens and documents.


• Ability to drive in various light and weather conditions.


• Ability to type and use a computer or mobile device.


• Lift and carry material weighing up to 50 pounds.
