Details:

• Paid, full-time summer internship 


• The internship period is June 8, 2026 - August 14, 2026 


• Must be based in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate for the duration of the internship period 


• Will be required to work in person from the office located in the Domain  

Responsibilities: 

• Assist in monitoring and analyzing regulatory and legislative developments in key states and energy markets under the guidance of senior staff; 


• Support the preparation of reports and presentations to communicate policy activities and strategies to internal stakeholders;  


• Help coordinate Aypa's participation in stakeholder processes, regulatory entities, and regional organizations; 


• Contribute to the development of policy proposals and advocacy materials;  


• Attend and summarize key coalitions, industry associations, and external forums/conferences;  


• Assist with managing external counsel and consultants as needed;  


• Perform administrative duties and other tasks as required to support the Government & Regulatory Affairs team.  

Key Qualifications:   

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Environmental Studies, or a related field;  


• A strong interest in the renewable energy sector and a passion for decarbonization initiatives;  


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; 


• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to an entrepreneurial environment; 


• Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision;  


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tasks efficiently;


• A proactive and enthusiastic mindset, with a focus on learning and professional development.
